Salary Scale: Level 7 (SCP 17-22)

Starting salary: £27,135 (FTE: £31,022)

37 hours per week

8.00am – 4.00pm Monday – Thursday, 8.00am – 3.30pm Friday, with 30-minute lunch break

Start date: 1 September 2026

We are seeking to appoint a motivated and dedicated Progress Lead to support our Senior Leadership Team in raising standards and improving student outcomes. You will play a key role in driving academic progress through mentoring, targeted interventions, and collaboration with staff, parents, and external agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Provide academic mentoring and lead targeted intervention programmes

·       Analyse student data to identify and support those needing additional support

·       Prepare students for assessments and develop study skills

·       Organise enrichment opportunities, including university visits

·       Work with staff, parents, and external agencies to remove barriers to learning

·       Support careers guidance, transitions, and extra-curricular activities

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, strong emotional intelligence, and a passion for supporting young people to succeed.

St Thomas More Catholic Academy is an 11–18 mixed Catholic comprehensive school with 1170 students on roll and an excellent reputation across the local community.
