As an Ofsted-outstanding all-through school, we pride ourselves on strategic leadership across our senior leadership team, enabling students from age 4 to 18 to achieve, belong and thrive.
We are now looking to appoint an outstanding and highly motivated Lead Practitioner for Pupil Premium to join our school and help drive our next stage of improvement. This is a key strategic role for an exceptional classroom practitioner and leader who believes that high-quality teaching is the most important lever for improving student attainment, and who is committed to ensuring that students who come from disadvantaged situations thrive academically, socially and personally.
Simon Balle is an exceptional place to work, in which we truly believe that there is no tension between the highest academic standards and wonderful enrichment opportunities, enabling every student to experience an outstanding holistic education. Successful applicants will have the drive to maximise achievement and potential for students in all parts of school life, with a particular passion for championing those who are most vulnerable to underachievement.
The role will place a particular emphasis on monitoring, evaluating and strengthening quality first teaching, and on raising standards in literacy across the curriculum in the secondary phase, in the belief that if we get it right for our most vulnerable, then we will get it right for everyone. The successful candidate will work strategically to evaluate the impact of provision, support colleagues in securing excellent classroom practice, and help ensure that disadvantaged students experience success in school life in its fullest sense.
At Simon Balle, we are relentless in our quest for Creating tomorrow’s citizens today. Our successful Lead Practitioner for Pupil Premium will model the driven outlook and dynamic approach needed to make a difference in this area and strive every day for excellence - our students deserve nothing less.
Please see the job description for the responsibilities for this position including teaching allocation.

We are also committed to the equality of opportunity for all. Applicants for this post must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including reference checks with previous employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
