About this Role

Are you an aspirational school leader, looking for a deputy headship in a forward thinking and creative school?

We are seeking a leader with a clear moral purpose—someone who understands what highly effective primary education looks like and has the talent, insight and determination to work with the whole school community to drive improvement. This role has a particular focus on Inclusion, including Pastoral Care and Behaviour, and we are looking for someone who can lead this area with conviction and compassion.

We welcome applications from candidates:

  • With a strong vision for inclusive, high‑quality primary education, and the ability to translate that vision into meaningful action
  • Who can inspire, motivate and challenge both children and adults, fostering ambition and high expectations
  • Who can provide effective day‑to‑day leadership, supporting the Head of School through excellent management, communication and decision‑making
  • Who will make a significant contribution to delivering the school’s strategic priorities and long‑term development

This one‑year temporary contract offers a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring or experienced leader to further develop their leadership skills within a school that is warm, welcoming and ambitious. Guided by our vision that “all things are possible for one who believes,” you will join a community committed to nurturing potential, championing inclusion and striving for excellence in all we do.

What we offer:

  •  the chance to work closely with an enthusiastic and effective leadership team and wider staff team, all focused on continuous improvement;
  • • a culture of high expectations, professional trust and shared accountability for outcomes;
  • • motivated, respectful pupils who are eager to learn and take pride in their school;
  • • a supportive and engaged parent and governor community;
  • • sustained commitment to your professional development, leadership growth and wellbeing;
  • • strong collaboration, support and development opportunities within a principled and forward-thinking Multi Academy Trust.

 Visits to the school would be recommended and warmly welcomed so we can show you our fabulous school and give you the chance to meet our pupils and staff. Please contact cowilliams@shr.cambrianlt.org to arrange a visit.
