About this Role
South
Bromsgrove High is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and
inspirational Head of Psychology to provide leadership and management of our A
level Psychology provision. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious
practitioner to lead a successful and growing subject area, ensuring
high-quality teaching and learning and excellent outcomes for students. A level
Psychology is one of the school’s most popular subjects, currently taught
across two classes in both Year 12 and Year 13.
Key
Responsibilities
•
Provide strategic leadership and a clear vision for A level Psychology
• Secure high standards of teaching, learning and assessment
• Lead on curriculum design, pedagogy and assessment
• Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning, including lesson drop-ins and book
looks
• Analyse assessment and performance data to inform improvement
• Lead teachers of Psychology and support professional development
• Maintain schemes of work, assessment processes and departmental documentation
• Contribute to whole-school priorities
