The Directors of St Gabriel the Archangel CMAT and Governors of Our
Lady’s Catholic Academy wish to appoint two Early Years Practitioners for 32.5
hours per week, permanent, term time only plus INSET days.
DUTIES:
Under the direction of the Headteacher:
1. To contribute to the planning for and delivery of the early year’s
curriculum within the six areas of learning in “Foundation Stage”.
2. To implement the agreed school’s development plan.
3. To contribute to the creating of an attractive/stimulating,
safe/secure class/school environment through display and classroom
organisation.
4. To contribute to the assessment of pupils, particularly those in
your particular group through observations, records and discussions with other
team members, parents and the Head Teacher.
5. To support the maintenance of positive links between home and school
by making parents feel welcome and develop links with other agencies.
6. To maintain a safe environment for children, other staff and
visitors so far as it is possible.
7. To be aware of, and maintain, specific school policies which relate
to pupils in the classroom, i.e.; behaviour, equal opportunities and marking
where applicable.

To be a qualified NNEB or hold
other appropriate recognised qualification. (NNEB, BTEC Diploma, NVQ III).

The post holder will not have any supervisory responsibility
over any other staff.

Headteacher/Teacher/Supervisory Early Years Practitioner

To work under supervision
physically in the same classroom as the above.
