An Exciting Leadership Opportunity

Cambrian Learning Trust is seeking an exceptional and inspiring leader to join Longcot & Fernham CE Primary School as Interim Co-Headteacher for a one-year fixed-term appointment.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior leader to build upon the school's secure foundations and continue its journey of improvement and success. Working in partnership with colleagues, governors and the Trust, you will provide strategic leadership that ensures every child achieves their full potential within a nurturing, inclusive and ambitious learning environment.

About the role

As Co-Headteacher, you will:

  • Provide clear vision, leadership and direction for the whole school community.

  • Drive excellence in teaching, learning and pupil outcomes.

  • Champion inclusion, equality and high expectations for all pupils.

  • Lead school improvement through evidence-informed practice and robust self-evaluation.

  • Ensure effective operational, financial and people management.

  • Promote a strong culture of safeguarding, wellbeing and positive behaviour.

  • Work collaboratively with governors, Trust leaders and wider stakeholders to secure the best outcomes for children.

  • Contribute to school improvement across the Trust and support collaborative working within the Multi-Academy Trust.

The successful candidate will also model excellent classroom practice and teach a small part of the curriculum within their area of expertise.

About you

We are looking for a leader who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.

  • Has substantial recent experience as a Deputy Headteacher or equivalent leader within a successful primary school leadership team.

  • Has a proven track record of raising standards and improving outcomes for pupils.

  • Demonstrates excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Has a clear understanding of the current educational landscape and the role of schools within a Multi-Academy Trust.

  • Is committed to inclusion, safeguarding and the wellbeing of children and staff.

  • Can inspire, motivate and develop teams to achieve excellence.

  • Leads with integrity, resilience, optimism and a passion for education.
