About Us:

Blue Bell Hill is a vibrant, inclusive primary school where children truly sit at the heart of everything we do. Guided by our warm and welcoming ethos, we nurture a strong sense of belonging and community, underpinned by high expectations for all. We encourage respect and care for ourselves and each other, ensuring that every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to achieve their very best.

Through a rich, broad, and balanced curriculum, we bring learning to life and support children to grow in confidence, independence, and resilience.

Wellbeing is fundamental at Blue Bell Hill — for both children and staff — and we are deeply committed to fostering a positive, purposeful culture where kindness, ambition, and a love of learning can thrive side by side.

Our Partnership celebrates individuality, champions continuous improvement, and ensures every child thrives. With a strong focus on school-led professional development and leadership, we’re committed to growing exceptional staff and inspirational leaders.

About the Role:

We are looking for a caring, dedicated and enthusiastic Personal Care Assistant to join our Woodland Enhanced Provision. Woodland is a specialist provision within our school that offers an adapted and enriched curriculum for children with communication and interaction needs.

This role is both exciting and rewarding, supporting children to access learning, develop independence and build meaningful relationships. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality personal care and tailored support, ensuring every child feels safe, valued and able to thrive.

You will work closely with teachers, support staff and families to meet the individual needs of each child, helping to create a calm, nurturing and purposeful environment. A patient, flexible and compassionate approach is essential, alongside a commitment to inclusion and the wellbeing of all children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality personal care, ensuring dignity, safety and wellbeing at all times
  • Support children with communication and interaction needs to access a tailored curriculum
  • Help create a calm, structured and engaging learning environment
  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement individual support strategies
  • Encourage independence, confidence and positive relationships
  • Promote a caring and inclusive atmosphere that reflects the school’s values

We are looking for someone who:

  • Delights in working with children and puts their wellbeing first
  • Is caring, patient and resilient, with a calm and consistent approach
  • Has experience of, or an interest in, supporting children with additional needs
  • Communicates effectively and works well as part of a team
  • Is flexible, proactive and willing to adapt to meet individual needs
  • Reflects our values and is committed to going the extra mile with positivity and enthusiasm

We Can Offer You:

  • A commitment to people across our partnership, underpinned by our people principles: adaptability, wellness, recognising achievement, employee voice and engagement, professional development and growth, inclusivity, and collaboration
  • Access to high-quality CPL to support your development
  • Opportunities to grow and progress within the partnership
  • Access to an employee assistance programme, including counselling, financial support, and legal advice
  • A supportive and welcoming working environment with a strong team ethos
