Work where it matters most, achieve what matters more
We are seeking to recruit a cover
supervisor to work with departmental teams and supervise students in the
absence of teachers. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on
students’ learning and development. The post holder will supervise whole
classes ensuring students remain on task and complete work set by their teacher,
presenting and delivering quality lessons to students in a way that represents
the academy's ethos on teaching and learning.
You will be an essential part
of our school community, helping to create a calm, purposeful classroom
environment. While you will not be required to plan or mark work, your ability
to manage behaviour, support learning and uphold academy policies will be vital
in keeping students engaged and productive.
The successful applicant will be
confident, organised and enthusiastic about working with young people. You will
have strong communication skills and will be able to deliver cover lessons to
students across the age and ability range. You will be passionate about
enthusing and engaging our students, to encourage and motivate them to learn,
establishing good professional working relationships with staff and
students.
The post may suit someone considering
a future in teaching or someone looking for a new and exciting challenge. If
you enjoy working with young people and contributing to their progress and
development, we would welcome an application from you. Full training will be
provided. We actively promote continuing
professional development and encourage staff to pursue all enhancement
programmes.
