About the role
The Family Support Worker works under the leadership of the principal. The successful person will play a vital role in contrbuting to the culture, ethos, and wellbeing of the whole Academy, by working with families to remove student barriers to learning or attending. They will drive and raise attendance which is crucial for our schools positive outcomes. As well as monitoring and providing continued support for students, including liasing with parents, carers, relevent Abbey C of E Academy staff and external agencies.

Salary & Benefits
32.5 hours a week Mon - Fri 08.30 a.m. - 3.30 p.m. 39 weeks a year. (Term Time)
· NJC 06 - £25,989 per annum FTE, £20,051.79pa pro rata

Who we are looking for
· Good Standard of education at GCSE Level or Equivalent (5 x A- C inc. English and Maths)
· A recognised safeguarding qualification
· Experience of Using Computerised Admin systems/ ICT use.
· Experience of working with young people and their families in a primary setting (a minimum of two years)
· Experience of working in high-performing contexts
· Administrative experience
· Ability to draw meaningful and actionable interpretations from data
· Monitoring records to spot attendance patterns
· Recognising changes in whole school trends and individual pupil attendance
· Knowledge and understanding of strategies to overcome barriers to attendance
· Familiarity with recent developments in pupil attendance knowledge and understanding of safeguarding policies and practice.
· Must hold UK driving license and have business car insurance.
