Abbey C of E Academy is now recruiting for a Teaching Assistant 1:2 SEN Support.
About the role
25 hours a week 09.00 - 14.00 Monday - Friday, term time only, fixed term until 31st August 2026.
To work under the specific supervision, instruction and guidance of the class teacher to support the teaching and learning activities in the classroom.
To provide general support to the class teacher in the organisation and management of pupils and the classroom.
To assist the teach creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment.
To promote the inclusion of all pupils, ensuring they have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.

Who we are looking for
GCSE Qualifications at grade C or above, including English and Maths
Level 3 Certification in supporting T&L in schools or an equivalent
Experience using IT
Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting
Minimum of two years working in a primary education setting
