We
are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and inspiring school leader to
lead our school in Warton, Tamworth. We are seeking to appoint a person who is
able to develop and lead a strong Christian vision and who fully understands
the Christian distinctiveness of a Church of England school. We are therefore
looking for a headteacher who will actively support and promote our Christian
ethos in every aspect of school life.
We begin with the vision and values of BDMAT, believing that success is found in who you are,
within a community, as well as what you
do. We aim to provide an outstanding education, supported by excellent pastoral
care and high standards of behaviour. We want to equip our pupils with academic achievement, experiences, and
personal attributes to enable them to succeed in the next stage of their
education.
At
Warton we are a warm, caring and supportive learning
community where everyone is welcome. Our school begins with Nursery (from 2 years
old) through to Year 6 and we have around 150 children on roll. We are a Church
of England school and our vision, values and core beliefs around education all
have our Christian faith at the heart of them.
Belonging to the Birmingham Diocesan Multi Academy
Trust (BDMAT), we are firmly
aligned with the vision that Clothed in LOVE (Colossians
3:14) we are a united family of schools serving our communities and helping ALL
to flourish. For us, this means ensuring that our children thrive academically,
socially and spiritually. We work to ensure that they have wide-reaching experiences
that make them aware of, and excited by, their local area as well as the wider
world around them. We want our children to experience joy and wonder every day
and we strive for them to be eager, inquisitive learners who live by our core
values every day.
Our
school is in the heart of the village of Warton, approximately 6 miles from
Tamworth and although our village is small we are growing from being a half form of entry to a full one form
entry school with a new building opened in 2026. We aim high. We have a reputation for excellent sporting
achievements, varied extra-curricular opportunities and great pastoral and SEND
support. We are very proud of the offer we provide for the children in our
community.
Visits to the
school are very much welcomed and encouraged and can be arranged through the
school.
Birmingham Diocesan Multi-Academy Trust (BDMAT) is committed to
safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable
adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
We welcome
applications from underrepresented groups including ethnicity, gender,
transgender, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion. BDMAT is a
Disability Confident employer.
