About this Role

St Chad's Catholic Primary School is a one form entry school in the heart of Sedgley in the borough of Dudley.

We are looking to appoint a part time cleaner to work 15 hours per week, 3pm-6pm Monday to Friday, to join our  dedicated site team who are responsible for maintaining a clean, healthy and safe environment for our children, staff and visitors.

The job will involve a wide range of cleaning duties and responsibilities, which includes ensuring that areas of work allocated are cleaned to the required high standard, as directed, using the  correct techniques and cleaning equipment.

Previous experience of working as a cleaner in a school or education setting would be desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

Your duties will include :

Cleaning  allocated areas to the required standard.

·         Safe removal of litter and waste to allocated disposal points.

·         Locking and unlocking windows and doors as directed.

·         Working safely using correct warning signs, protective clothing and safety equipment. Understanding COSHH regulations

·         Emptying vacuum cleaners and buffer vacuum bags at the end of each session. Cleaning and checking all equipment is safe after use.

·         Reporting to your supervisor any defective electrical sockets, lighting, vandalism etc in your area.

·         Covering on a rota basis for absent colleagues as and when required.

         Any other related duties as directed by your supervisor.

  • able to carry out mandatory online training
