Supervisory Early Years Practitioner within EYFS - 32.5 hours per week

required to start Monday 13th April 2026

(12 month fixed term contract)

 

Starting Annual Salary  23,835 – 26,486

 

St. Mary’s Catholic Academy, part of the St Gabriel’s Catholic Multi Academy Trust, is seeking to appoint a dedicated, nurturing, and inspiring Supervisory Early Years Practitioner to join our wonderful Early Years team.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional to lead our nursery class within the Foundation Stage, working alongside a highly experienced and committed team who are passionate about giving young children the very best start in life. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can combine leading a class with a warm, child-centred approach, and who will help us continue to provide an exceptional Early Years experience for our children.

 

The successful applicant will be:

 

·          An experienced practitioner who will help to promote high standards of behaviour and attainment 

·          A team player who is committed to their own professional development and that of their colleagues          

·          Able to co-ordinate and contribute to the development of the learning environment both inside and outside

·          Prepared to take part in all aspects of school life

·          Co-ordinate and contribute to the planning and delivery of the EYFS curriculum

·          Co-ordinate and contribute to assessment and record keeping of children’s profiles

·          Committed to working closely with parents and as part of a team

·          To communicate with parents and carers, both verbally and in writing, on the progress of their child.

·          Able to inspire, challenge and motivate themselves and others

·          Be child-centred and be able to think creatively

·          Have a ‘can do’ attitude

·          Proactive and use their initiative

·          Be a reflective practitioner with the ability to learn from experiences and challenges

·          A high level of general education - English and Maths at GCSE C or above is essential

·          To hold other appropriate recognised qualification, preferably NNEB or Certificate in Early Years, Teaching Certificate or equivalent.
