About this Role

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Learning Assistant, who has experience of working with children across the primary age range.  As a Learning Assistant you will be supporting the children to achieve their full potential both inside and outside the classroom. Your role may include one to one, small group work and delivering interventions to targeted pupils and it may be placed within our enhanced provision which will be providing a curriculum for children with an EHCP with a diagnosis. 

The ideal candidate will 

  • Have experience being a learning assistant, with specific experience working and supporting children with significant needs.

  • Be able to engage in physical activity to support pupils outside of the classroom 

  • Use their initiative to ensure children’s needs are met. 

  • Have high expectations of themselves, striving for the best in everything they do. 

  • Be an enthusiastic, committed and ambitious team player; open to learning and professional development.

    The role is for 35 hours a week, term time only plus training days, this is reflected in a pro rata salary.

    Working days and hours will be Monday - Friday - 08:00 am - 15:30pm.   Between 08:00am - 08:30am you will be assisting in our Breakfast Club. 


The academy is part of the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT). All GAT academies work collaboratively to share best practice and are supported by the expertise within the Central Team to enable them to focus on teaching and learning.
