Vacancy for a Learning Resource Manager/Librarian

Salary: Meridian Trust Grade 7 (Actual salary £14,840 - £16,663

Hours: 23 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We have an exciting vacancy for an enthusiastic and well organised Learning Resource Manager/Librarian to join The Ferrers School. Your work will include developing the provision of the library service for students and staff and lead in promoting the development and importance of literacy skills.

The opportunity:

  • A fulfilling and rewarding role where you will be making a difference and valued as part of the school team
  • Organising the cataloguing of the library's resources
  • Promoting a positive learning environment
  • Working with the inclusion team delivering literacy interventions
  • Supporting and delivering the reprographic functions for the schooll

The ideal candidate:

  • A good educational background - GCSE qualifications or above
  • Experience of working in a school or library  environment
  • Possess high level administrative skills including MS Word and Excel
  • An understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues
