Kingswood: It is an exciting time for Kingswood Secondary Academy. We are privileged to serve one of the most deprived communities in Northamptonshire, yet our fantastic students are now in the top third of Northamptonshire schools in terms of their academic outcomes. Contextually, this places our students in the top 5 secondary schools, out of 42, in the county. If you’d like to find out more about how we and our students work together to achieve this, and you are a hard-working individual who enjoys being part of a team, then please speak with a Hums / MFL Triad member.
At Kingswood, we know that most teachers have come into the profession to make a difference in the lives of young people, and not for the money! The staff at Kingswood make an incredible difference in the lives of the young people in our care. Based on our RISE values of Respect, Independence, Service to Community and Empathy, we have carefully cultivated a culture that is conducive to learning, where teachers can enjoy teaching and students can thrive and learn well. Lessons are settled and very purposeful, corridors are calm and students get on well with each other during social times. Staff turnover is very low, and staff attendance very high. If you feel this might be the environment where you can make a difference, then come and see for yourself with one of our Walk and Talks.
