About this Role

We are looking for a Pupil Engagement Lead to join our team here at Skegby Junior Academy!

Are you passionate about supporting children’s wellbeing and helping them thrive? We are seeking a dedicated Pupil Engagement Lead to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our pupils.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead on  pupil engagement and attendance strategies across the Academy.
  • Promote an inclusive and positive culture within the Academy.
  • Deliver High quality pastoral care and support.
  • Promote positive attitudes, wellbeing and behaviour across the Academy.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure every child feels safe, valued, and ready to learn.
  • Lead initiatives that promote and support positive behaviour, resilience, and mental health.
  • Work collaboratively with the SENCo to implement timely, targeted interventions.
  • Monitor attendance and wellbeing, implementing strategies to overcome barriers to learning.
  • Form part of the safeguarding team and be a Deputy DSL

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with children in a pastoral/safeguarding role.
  • Someone who confident in leading on behaviour, attendance and well-being.
  • Someone who can develop our current pastoral provision to meet the diverse needs of our children.
  • Someone who is creative and thinks outside of the box.
  • Effective behaviour management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, empathetic approach to supporting pupils and families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a committed team.
