We are looking for a Pastoral Leader to join our team here at Skegby Junior Academy!

Are you passionate about supporting children’s wellbeing and helping them thrive? We are seeking a dedicated Pastoral Leader to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of our pupils.

In this role, you will:

• Provide pastoral care and emotional support to pupils.
• Promote an inclusive and positive culture within the Academy.
• Lead on the schools newly formed nurture provision.
• Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure every child feels safe, valued, and ready to learn.
• Lead initiatives that promote and support positive behaviour, resilience, and mental health.
• Work collaboratively with the SENCo to implement timely, targeted interventions.
• Monitor attendance and wellbeing, implementing strategies to overcome barriers to learning.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience working with children in a pastoral role.
• Someone who can develop our new nurture provision to meet the needs of our children.
• Someone who is creative and thinks outside of the box.
• Effective behaviour management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, empathetic approach to supporting pupils and families.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a committed team.
