Lead Teacher of Chemistry – Internal Opportunity

We’re looking for an ambitious, knowledgeable and inspiring Lead Teacher of Chemistry to drive excellence across KS3–KS5 and help shape the future of Science at Hamstead Hall Academy.

This role is perfect for a strong practitioner who is ready to lead curriculum development, champion high‑quality teaching, and support colleagues in delivering outstanding outcomes. You’ll oversee a coherent, challenging Chemistry curriculum, ensure robust assessment practice, and play a key part in raising attainment across the department.

You will model evidence‑informed teaching, lead on practical science, and contribute to whole‑school priorities including literacy, oracy and curriculum development. As line manager for Chemistry staff, you’ll support professional growth and help build a high‑performing, collaborative team.
