We are looking to recruit a Cover Manager to join our team to arrange cover for absent teaching staff, liaise with external agencies and oversee supply staff. You will respond to pre-booked absences and arrange cover as well as ‘on the day’ absences.
You will welcome supply staff and ensure they have a suitable ‘supply induction’ to Sir Thomas Fremantle. You will also cover lessons, deliver set work and manage student behaviour. During non-cover periods, you will be expected to support students in lessons, mentoring and supervision of students on duty.
You should have experience in the classroom and understand the importance of upholding the school values and providing continuity during a teacher’s absence. You will work with the school’s behavioural systems
Sir Thomas Fremantle is set in North Buckinghamshire for 11-16 year olds serving the local community. The school is in easy reach of Milton Keynes and Aylesbury. We benefit from great facilities – the school building was only opened in 2017.
We are driven to ensure all our students have an incredible education that inspires and prepares them for the next step in their journey. With 650 students we are able to really get to know each of them and our sense of community is a real strength of our school.
Your professional development is really important to us. We want you to have the skills and training so you can flourish in your role. We care about your wellbeing and we want to work with you to ensure we do all we can to support you.
We would love to show you around our school to meet our wonderful students and to get to know us better.
Please note that we do not accept CVs - applicants must submit a STFS application form via mynewterm.
