About this Role

The Reach Free School is looking to appoint a talented, supportive and adaptable individual to join us for the Summer Term in the role of Year 7 Assistant Teacher. This is a fixed-term position to support our pupils through the Summer term.

The role is well-suited to individuals with experience working in a school setting, including supporting pupils with a range of needs and who can contribute positively to a thriving, supportive and engaging environment.

The role has many aspects, including:

  • Being the form tutor of and offering pastoral support to a class of year 7 pupils

  • Supporting a range of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including those who have Education, Health and Care Plans

  • Developing pupils’ understanding and application of reading, writing and speaking

  • Delivering aspects of the curriculum, including our PSHE programme and STEM activities

  • Supporting pupils in other year groups based on their educational needs

  • Offering extra-curricular activities as part of our integrated programme
