The Reach Free School is looking to appoint a talented, supportive and adaptable individual to join us for the Summer Term in the role of Year 7 Assistant Teacher. This is a fixed-term position to support our pupils through the Summer term.
The role is well-suited to individuals with experience working in a school setting, including supporting pupils with a range of needs and who can contribute positively to a thriving, supportive and engaging environment.
The role has many aspects, including:
Being the form tutor of and offering pastoral support to a class of year 7 pupils
Supporting a range of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including those who have Education, Health and Care Plans
Developing pupils’ understanding and application of reading, writing and speaking
Delivering aspects of the curriculum, including our PSHE programme and STEM activities
Supporting pupils in other year groups based on their educational needs
Offering extra-curricular activities as part of our integrated programme
