About this Role

Working with teaching colleagues you will support the learning, teaching and welfare of pupils within the school to enable their progress towards class and individual targets.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support for Pupils: Assist pupils with specific learning needs both in and out of the classroom, ensuring they can access the curriculum and engage in learning activities.
  • Individual and Small Group Support: Provide one-on-one or small group support for students who may need additional help, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Personalised Learning Plans: Help to implement and monitor personalised learning plans for pupils, under the guidance of the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).
  • Classroom Support: Support the class teacher in managing the classroom and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Recording Progress: Assist in tracking pupils' progress, providing feedback, and contributing to reviews and reports on pupils' development.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside teaching staff, SENCO, and other learning support professionals to create an inclusive environment that meets the diverse needs of our students.

About you:

 

You’ll have some experience of working with children or young people, ideally in a learning support or educational setting and a passion for supporting them in inclusive learning environment. You’ll have strong communication skills and the ability to work with pupils, staff and parents. You’ll have patience and empathy and a positive attitude towards student and self-development.
