About this Role

St Michael’s Catholic Academy is a popular school situated in Billingham. We are looking to recruit a fulltime caretaker to join our existing team of site staff and work under the direction of the Site Manager. Duties will include:

· General building maintenance and repairs

· Security of the school’s premises and grounds

· To undertake general portage duties

· To ensure that the premises are open for use as and when required in accordance with the needs of the Academy and securing the premises after use

· Responsibility for supervising outside agencies/contractors whilst on site

· Moving furniture and equipment around the school premises

· Bus bay duty on an afternoon when school finishes to ensure the safety of students

· Driving the school mini-bus when required.
