About this Role

We are looking to appoint an inspirational, passionate and committed Learning Development Lead to join our dedicated and supportive team .

This is a new role in our established Extended Leadership Team. The Learning and Development Lead will inspire and guide staff through incremental coaching and building on current strengths. They will share best practice with others and be passionate about teaching and learning. The learning and development lead will be an excellent class practitioner ensuring they are a role model across the school. The learning and development lead will demonstrate inclusive practice and be a champion for the effective use of adaptive practice to support all learners achieve. They will have had experience adapting provision effectively to support children with SEND and EAL. They will spend 0.8 in the classroom and 0.2 protected leadership time.

The role of the Class Teacher is central to the success of The Palmer Primary Academy and is a position which has a direct impact on improving the life opportunities for our children.  Class Teachers are responsible for the day-to-day teaching and learning provision for all children in their class, including those with Special Educational Needs, English as an Additional Language, those more-able learners and those eligible for the Pupil Premium Grant.
