As a D&T teacher, you will have due
regard to the requirements of the National Curriculum, the Academy’s aims,
objectives and schemes of work and any policies of the Governing Body.
Facilitate and encourage learning which enables students to achieve high
standards. Promote and safeguard the welfare of students. You will be responsible for the wellbeing and discipline of all students,
maintain positive relationships with the parents / carers of the students and
be responsible for your own safety and that of others.
About You
The successful candidate will have experience of teaching in a classroom
with students of a relevant age and have successful experience as a member of a
team. Candidates will also have qualified teacher status on commencement of the
post. This post is suitable for an ECT and we have a proven track record of
excellence in supporting early career teachers. You will have the motivation to work with
children and young people, be able to form and maintain appropriate
relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people. Candidates
will have specialist skills in a Design Technology related subject, have the willingness to develop their Engineering knowledge and be
able to develop STEM activities within the department
and wider school
