About this Role

As a cover supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring that students have a high-quality learning experience when their usual teacher is away from school.

You will manage classroom behaviour to ensure pupils stay on task and facilitate the activities that have been designed by teaching staff to ensure that students complete the work in an effective learning environment.

If you are passionate about the young people in our community and want to be a part of ensuring their bright futures, then we would really like to hear from you.

This role offers you the chance to step in and lead lessons in the absence of the regular teacher, primarily for KS3 and KS4 students, with occasional work at KS5. You’ll also have the opportunity to make a broader contribution across the Academy.

This is a fixed term role starting as soon as possible until 31 August 2027.

Working for 19.5 hours per week, term time only.

You will:

  •          Supervise the students in KS3, KS4 and occasional KS5, working on pre-set learning activities in the absence of a teacher.
