About this Role

As part of our continued growth and development Scientia Academy and REAch2 Academy Trust are seeking to appoint an Early Years Level 2 Apprentice to join our team from September 2026. This is a fixed term role for the duration of the apprenticeship (12 months. May be extended to 15 months to allow time to pass Maths & English IF required). 

The successful apprentice will undertake all relevant training to support knowledge skills and behaviour in order to qualify. 

The apprenticeship course will be provided by Best Practice network. Please see the attached guide containing course details. The successful candidate will be responsible for registering with Best Practice after receiving their offer of employment from us. Full funding for the apprenticeship is provided by REAch2 Academy Trust.


Our Level 2 Early years Apprenticeship will provide you with fully funded, structured training to improve your practice as a learning support assistant and learn valuable skills. 

Our Early Yeara Apprenticeship will help you to: 

  • Gain a nationally recognised Level 2 apprenticeship at no cost to you 

  • Receive training focused on supporting pupil progress and development aligned to the curriculum 

  • Develop an understanding of how to actively support the class teacher 

  • Safeguard pupils and build a positive and nurturing environment 

  • Build confidence supporting pupils with special education needs, EAL or SEMH 

  • Contribute to planning, class activities and team meetings 
  • Develop your career without leaving your school

The successful candidate will have: 

    • The motivation and passion to achieve the very best for the children with additional needs in our care and be relentless in the pursuit of excellence 
    • A good understanding of the range of additional needs that pupils can have and how best to support them 
    • The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team 
    • The ability to work on initiative 
    • A willingness to undertake professional development and grow their skills 
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Be willing to undertake Maths & English alongside this apprenticeship if they do not hold Level 2/GCSE Grade 4 already.
