About this Role

We are offering a fixed-term contract from September 2025, for up to one year, to cover the maternity leave of our nursery teacher. Dependent on the needs of the school or wider MAT, there may be a possibility of further extension at the end of this contract. We will appoint either a Nursery Class Teacher OR an Early Years Practitioner to cover this maternity leave. This role is Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm, term time only plus INSET days.

Working with our Early Years Lead, our Early Years Practitioner will be a passionate and inspiring individual who is keen to make a positive difference to the youngest children in our care. They must be qualified to Level 3 or above (or equivalent) and have a strong understanding of how children learn. They will be confident in how to support children with a wide range of needs.

Our school is a popular and thriving one-form entry school in the heart of Colnbrook village. Our Christian values permeate the life of our school as we encourage everyone to live our vision and be “Strong and Courageous”. We are proud to be a highly inclusive school, and we welcome families from a large number of backgrounds and communities. Our school is part of the Slough and East Berkshire Multi Academy Trust (SEBMAT) and we enjoy high levels of support and close collaboration with local schools.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification, or higher (essential);

• Is a confident practitioner who is able to lead nursery activities;

• Is a creative, enthusiastic, flexible team player who is able to work proactively;

• Is committed to inclusive education and developing children as independent learners;

• Is able to embrace our vision and values.

We can offer:

· A friendly and caring school community;

· A commitment to supporting a work/life balance;

· A supportive leadership team;

· Access to high quality professional development.
