About this Role

The Compass Academy is an Alternative Provision Academy which supports pupils from across the city of Hull/outer regions with varying needs. Many pupils have been permanently excluded/at risk of exclusion or have identified SEND needs which require additional support in school.

Due to expansion and increasing SEND needs, the academy are recruiting a number of Alternative Provision tutors, This role will work with teachers to provide teaching,  learning and pastoral support by working with individuals or small groups of students under the direction of teaching staff and the Head of Pastoral care. On occasion, tutors may be responsible for some learning activities within the overall teaching plan.


Job Details

Hours of Work: 37 Hours per Week, Term Time Only 

Position Type: Fixed Term (until August 2025)

Line Manager: Assistant Vice Principal

Travel Required: N/A
