An exciting opportunity has arisen at Ormiston Denes Academy for a passionate and student focused individual to join our well established, experienced Thrive & Reflection team. As our Thrive Mentor you would be mentoring students, running targeted intervention sessions, in small groups or on a one to one basis, to support with the removal of barriers to learning and their reintegration back into the classroom.
The successful candidate will be committed to ensuring the removal of barriers to learning in an intervention setting, whilst also supporting with students' social and emotional wellbeing. The role is based on working 37 hours per week, term time plus 5 days (39 working weeks per year).

About you
With excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with students and staff, ideally, you will have experience of working with children in an educational setting and supporting them with their learning and behaviour.
You will hold GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English (C and above) and have excellent ICT and keyboard skills.
