We have an exciting and unique opportunity for an inspirational and ambitious individual to join our Science team as Assistant Curriculum Leader. The successful candidate will be an experienced qualified teacher with strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching and learning. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Curriculum Leader of Science, contributing to the strategic planning and development, while providing valuable support and guidance to the subject team.

The opportunity

    • Provide valuable and professional support to the Curriculum Leader on the delivery of specific subject knowledge. 
    • Assist performance management of subject teachers and provide professional development support where required
    • Ensure all curriculum changes are communicated effectively.  
    • Monitor and evaluate the progression of students and ensure they are appropriately taught and prepared for all external examinations. 

    The ideal candidate 

      • Has qualified teacher status and good educational background.
      • Excellent classroom practitioner and ability to build strong, meaningful relationships with students and colleagues alike.
      • Experience of providing subject knowledge to students and teachers.   
      • Possess outstanding communication skills and personal integrity.
