We have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly, inclusive, and ambitious school community where both students and staff are highly valued. North Cambridge Academy has shown consistent improvement and growth year on year, and we are now seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational, and dedicated Teacher of Science to join our supportive and forward-thinking Science department.

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with a genuine passion for science and a strong commitment to inspiring a love of learning in all students. You will have the drive and determination to help every learner achieve their full potential while continually striving for excellence in your own practice.

The Opportunity

- To teach challenging and enjoyable lessons across all key stages.
- To work collaboratively within a professional department.
- Set goals that stretch and challenge pupils of all backgrounds, abilities, and dispositions.
- Confidently share new ideas, during staff meetings
- Encourage pupils to take a responsible and conscientious attitude to their own work and study
- Be aware of pupils’ capabilities and their prior knowledge, and plan teaching to build on these.

The ideal candidate

- Has Qualified Teacher Status and a good educational background including a good Honours Degree or equivalent.
- Can evidence both curricular and pastoral responsibilities.
- Understands and is committed to teaching standards.
- Has high personal standards in terms of attendance, punctuality and organising workload.
- Is an excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills.
- Has a positive, enthusiastic, and professional approach towards work.
- Has a willingness to undergo further training and development.
- Experience in teaching KS3 Science and KS4 Physics and Chemistry
