An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding, enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Humanities with Religious Studies or  Geography specialism, to join our ambitious and high-performing Humanities Department. The successful candidate will be creative, imaginative and an excellent team player with a proven record of excellence in the classroom. The ability to teach a second subject will be a significant advantage.

  • To plan and deliver engaging, challenging and enjoyable lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • To work collaboratively within a vibrant department
  • To set goals that stretch and challenge pupils of all backgrounds, abilities and dispositions
  • To encourage pupils to take a responsible and conscientious attitude to their own work and study

The ideal candidate

  •   Qualified Teacher Status and degree in specialist subject
  •   Experience of teaching at KS3 and KS4
  •   Evidence of securing high outcomes from students
  •   Ability to use IT to support effective teaching and learning.
  •  Commitment to continuing professional development.
  •  Effective form tutoring and committed to the importance of pastoral support
  •  Believe that students make the best progress when teaching is well-planned and well-delivered
