Teacher of Geography

We are looking to appoint a Teacher of Geography to join our professional Humanities team. You will be an excellent classroom practitioner with the passion and drive to inspire a love of learning and foster curiosity while deepening understanding of the world in a forward-thinking educational environment.

The Opportunity

• To work collaboratively within a vibrant department
• To teach challenging and enjoyable lessons across KS3 and KS4
• To set goals that stretch and challenge pupils of all backgrounds, abilities and dispositions
• To encourage pupils to take a responsible and conscientious attitude to their own work and study

The ideal candidate 

•   Has Qualified Teacher Status and good educational background including a good Honours Degree or equivalent
•   Experience of teaching at KS3 and KS4 
•   Evidence of securing high outcomes from students 
•   Be aware of pupils' capabilities and their prior knowledge, and plan teaching to build on these
•   Commitment to continuing professional development 
•   Effective form tutoring and committed to the importance of pastoral support 
•   Believe that students make the best progress when teaching is well planned and well delivered
