About this Role

We are proud to be a 'Good' school (December 2023), offering a nurturing and inclusive environment where children love to learn and thrive. Our school is filled with passion, kindness, and a strong sense of community, making it a place where every child feels valued and supported.

We are a one form entry Primary School with small class sizes in KS1. Set in stunning, spacious grounds, we provide endless opportunities for outdoor learning, play, and exploration. From our beautiful green spaces to our engaging classrooms, we encourage curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning in all our pupils.

We pride ourselves on our fully inclusive environment as well as a broad and balanced curriculum, that is ambitious in itself.

Pembroke Park Primary School is seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Early Years Teaching Assistant who will also take on the role of After School Club Leader. This is an exciting opportunity to work across the school day, supporting pupils both in the classroom and within our after-school provision.

During the school day, you will work as part of our Early Years team, supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging learning experiences and help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.

In addition, you will lead our After School Club each afternoon, providing a fun, safe and structured environment for pupils. This will include supervising children, planning and delivering a varied programme of activities, and making effective use of the resources already available.

We are looking for someone who:

·         Has experience working with children, ideally within an Early Years or primary setting

·         Has a good understanding of the EYFS and child development

·         Is caring, patient and able to build positive relationships

·         Can plan and lead engaging activities for pupils

·         Is organised, reliable and able to work as part of a team

We can offer:

·         A welcoming and supportive school community

·         A varied role across the school day

·         Opportunities for professional development

·         The chance to make a real difference to pupils’ learning and wellbeing

Hours: 40 hours per week (32.5 hours EYFS Teaching Assistant plus 7.5 hours After School Club Leader), Monday to Friday, term time only
Salary: Grade E6.5 (Full Time Equivalent £26,196)
Start date: 1st September 2026
