About this Role

The Beaconsfield School is looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Music to join our successful Performing Arts department at Easter 2026.

You will be joining a department that is composed of a Head of Performing Arts, Drama Specialist and a Lead Teacher of Music.

Music provision at the school has grown in recent years, the school is now in its third year of offering GCSE Music.

The school works closely with the Bucks Music Trust, to provide peripatetic music lessons and in addition has a post 16 offer for Musical Theatre via Buckinghamshire Performing Arts.

The Department benefits from a fortnightly timetabled collaborative planning period, giving staff time to reflect on subject pedagogy and continuously strive to improve.

Our trust comprises six primaries, six secondaries and a University Technical College across Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding children and young people. All post holders are subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

The closing date for application is 9:00am on Monday 12 January 2026. Early application is advised as we reserve the right to close the advert early should a suitable applicant be found.
