About this Role

We are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and caring Breakfast Club Assistants to support the expansion of our new DfE-funded Free Breakfast Club provision from September 2026. The role will involve supervising and supporting children in a safe, welcoming and engaging environment before the start of the school day. The duties align with the responsibilities of a Before School Club Assistant, including supervising pupils, supporting play activities, ensuring children's safety and wellbeing, and helping with the breakfast provision.

Contract: Fixed Term for 1 Year (initially)
Hours: 2.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 8:45am
Start Date: September 2026

About the Role

As part of our Breakfast Club team, you will help create a positive start to the school day by:

Supervising children attending the breakfast club.
Supporting children in social, play and enrichment activities.
Assisting with the serving and clearing away of breakfast.
Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging inclusion.
Ensuring the safety, wellbeing and happiness of all pupils.
Helping to create a welcoming environment where children feel ready to learn.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Enjoys working with children and supporting their development.
Has a caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
Can work effectively as part of a team.
Is reliable, punctual and organised.
Understands the importance of safeguarding and child welfare.
May have experience of working with or caring for primary-aged children, although this is not essential.
