Hours: 35 per week, 8am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed person to join us as our Attendance & Family Liaison Officer Assistant. This rewarding role focuses on supporting students who are severely absent from education, helping them to overcome barriers and successfully re-engage with learning. Working as part of a dedicated and supportive team, you will play a key role in promoting the attendance, welfare, and educational outcomes of some of our most vulnerable students.

You will work closely with families, school staff, external agencies, and the SEND team to identify the challenges affecting attendance and develop effective strategies to address them. Through a proactive, compassionate, and relentless approach, you will empower students to access the education they deserve and ensure that their educational needs remain a priority.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of working in an educational setting
  • Ability to build effective and professional relationships
  • A resilient attitude with strong advocacy skills

·       Excellent communication and teamworking skills

People often say after their first visit to The Cornerstone Academy how distinctive the school is, how pioneering we are and yet also how our care and compassion clearly permeates all of our work in all the best ways. Imagine, then, how transformative that environment is for the children who study and grow into adults here. This also applies to our staff; we have a fantastic team, and we are all very proud to be working at the academy.

Closing date: Monday 17th August  – noon

Interviews will be held on Thursday 20th August

Please be available for interview on the date detailed above; you will be advised by close of play on Monday 17th August if you have been successfully shortlisted.

Please note we reserve the right to close any vacancies from further applications when we have received a minimum amount of applications from which to make a shortlist. Please ensure you apply without delay if you wish to be considered for this role.
