About this Role

The successful applicant will join our Lunchtime Supervisors Team, supervising and creating opportunities for our children. You will be responsible for the safety and welfare of the pupils during lunch time, both inside and in the playground.  Previous experience in working with children is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

Applicants will need to demonstrate the qualities of a good role model. You will need to be reliable, committed and genuinely interested in working with children and promoting the safeguarding and welfare of children you are responsible for, or meet.  We welcome individuals with a positive and engaging approach towards our children and other members of our school staff.

The successful candidates will work Monday to Friday for 2 hours per day.  St Michael's have a staggered lunchtime between 11:30 until 13:30 so you will be required to work between these hours.

We will need to see a birth certificate for any successful candidate as part of our safer recruitment.

St Michael's Church of England Primary School is part of the Birmingham Diocesan Multi-Academy Trust (BDMAT) and therefore will be supported by and connected with a network of Church of England schools within the region. The Trust was established in 2017 by Birmingham Diocesan Board of Education, which has a strong track record of providing excellent educational provision and achieving rapid school improvement across all phases.

The vision of the Trust is to ensure pupils have ‘life in all its fullness’; providing an education that will offer a wide range of opportunities and experiences within a Christian framework.

Birmingham Diocesan Multi-Academy Trust (BDMAT) is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We welcome applications from underrepresented groups including ethnicity, gender, transgender, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion. BDMAT is a Disability Confident employer.
