Hitchin Boys’ School (HBS) is a high
achieving, all ability, single sex school with over 1,300 students on
roll. In collaboration with our partner
schools, we have a mixed sixth form. Our
history stretches back nearly 400 years, but we embrace fresh thinking and a
modern, vibrant curriculum. We have high
expectations, excellent standards of behaviour and pride in our
extra-curricular activities that lead to academically successful and well-rounded
students, who are well equipped for life beyond school.
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a talented, enthusiastic, and ambitious Teacher of Geography to join our high-achieving and supportive Humanities Faculty.
Geography is a thriving subject at our school, with nine classes currently studying at GCSE level and three at A-Level. The subject is popular and well-resourced, with students who are motivated and eager to learn. Our department offers a rich programme of enrichment opportunities, including trips to overseas destinations such as Costa Rica and Iceland – bringing classroom learning to life and creating unforgettable experiences for our students.
We are seeking to recruit someone who is inspiring, dynamic and has a love for the subject. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who wants to join a high performing school and gain significant experience to further enhance their career. ECT applications welcome (July start). Applications from those wishing to contribute to other aspects of school life outside the classroom are particularly welcome.
Application deadline: 9am on Monday 19th May 2025
Interviews: w/c 19th May 2025
Applications
should be submitted via My New Term
