Ridgeway Primary Academy – Apprentice Teaching Assistant
Salary £8 per hour working 37 hours per week term time only plus 10 days
We are seeking to appoint an Apprentice Teaching Assistant to start on 1 September 2026. You will study for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship for 18 months and will be supported by mentors from Tyne Coast College.
You will work as an Apprentice Teaching Assistant supporting teachers and pupils in the classroom in lessons and become an integral part of the school support team. You will support staff to prepare for lessons/activities, help create a safe and enjoyable learning environment for all of our pupils and during lessons you will support pupils with classroom activities. You will also be required to support with organising and leading play activities, teacher administration and classroom displays and accompanying pupils on trips and other out of school activities.
It is essential that the successful candidate can demonstrate:
