Purpose:

You will deliver a broad, enriched and challenging curriculum to pupils of varying abilities, establishing a positive learning environment that supports every child to achieve their full potential regardless of their background. You will share our commitment to raising standards of attainment and instilling the components of successful learning that empower children for life. You will work closely with our experienced leadership team, communicate effectively with families and bring a steadfast belief that all learners can succeed and flourish within our inclusive, diverse community.

Duties (further details in the attached application pack):

  • Teach a high quality, broad and challenging curriculum that ensures all pupils make good or better progress.
  • Plan, monitor and evaluate differentiated programmes of work while assessing and reporting on pupil development and attainment.
  • Identify pupils with SEND or those who are high achievers, making reasonable adjustments and working with the SENCO to provide targeted support.
  • Develop positive professional relationships with staff, children and families, including meeting parents at least three times a year to review progress.
  • Contribute to a subject team and lead a specific subject, holding accountability for pupil progress in that area across the entire school.
  • Maintain a well-organised, safe and nurturing classroom environment, ensuring high standards of display throughout the school.
  • Take responsibility for personal growth by attending weekly meetings, engaging in research and participating in the appraisal process.
  • Support the school in safeguarding all pupils by strictly following the safeguarding policy and logging concerns on the tracking system.
  • Contribute to the wider school community by running clubs, attending school fairs and supporting sports competitions.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the vision and aims of Henbury Court.
