Position: Senior Head of School
Location: St Petrocs
We are looking for an inspirational full time Senior Head of school on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to support our primary schools where community, family and adventure is at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for an energetic and committed Senior Head of School. The successful candidate will be a professional and conscientious worker who can fit into a friendly team that goes above and beyond for the pupils and wider community.

As the Senior Head of School, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of St. Petrocs, working closely with our Hub Lead who oversees five schools within the trust. This is an ideal position for either an experienced middle Leadership candidate looking for the next move into a senior head of school. You will receive dedicated support as you drive continuous improvement and excellence in teaching and learning.
Under the direction of the Hub Lead, the Senior Head of School will play a lead role:
- In formulating the aims, objectives of the school and establishing the policies through which they are to be achieved.
- Be responsible for the standards and curriculum of all pupils including monitoring of progress towards achievement.
- proactively manage staff and resources.
You will lead and inspire a talented team of educators, foster a positive learning environment that nurtures every pupil’s potential. Collaborate with the Hub Lead to implement strategic initiatives that enhance the quality of education. Engage with the school community to build strong relationships with parents, local organisations, and stakeholders. Continue to implement the flourishing schools programme and work in partnership with our links with the church
The Senior Head of School will:
Take full responsibility for the school.
Carry out the professional duties of a teacher as required.
Take responsibility for Child Protection issues as Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.
