About this Role

St Petroc's CofE Primary school is part of St Barnabas Multi Academy Trust which has 14 school stretching across Cornwall.  We are based in Bodmin and are the largest school within our trust.

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic  and caring Teaching Assistant to join us here to work with our fantastic students in Key Stage 1.   As a proud member of the St Barnabas Multi Academy Trust, our vision is supported with a ‘Bring It!’ approach to all areas of our school life.  We aim to develop a love of learning in our children to last through their lives. You will be supporting children in a caring and supportive school family, encouraging each individual to achieve their potential and discover their own unique talents, despite any challenges they may face.  There is also potential in this role to work 1:1 with students.  The school day will be from 8.30am until 3.15pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch. This role is term time only.

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who can:

  • Work well as part of a caring team, under the direction of a Class Teacher.
  • Recognise the varying needs of individual learners and adjust tasks accordingly.

  • Secure high quality relationships with parents, carers and the wider community.
  • Bring creativity and enthusiasm to each and every new day.
  • Be able to communicate effectively within a team
