About this Role
St Barnabas Trust is looking to recruit an outstanding Key Stage 1 teacher to join our team in a mixed age Year 1 and Year 2 class. This an exciting opportunity to work within St Barnabas Trust at St Petroc's School. This is a fixed term contract to cover Maternity leave until 31st January 2026.At St. Petroc’s we want the very best for every child in our care. Our curriculum intent is influenced by our 'Bring It!' vision which invites the children to bring courage, creativity, and friendship to school every day. Every day, we want St Petroc’s children to skip, scoot and cycle into school ready for a new ADVENTURE.
We want our children to be excited by their learning, utilise their talents and embrace the opportunities that they have been given. Our aim is to inspire a lifetime of adventure.
Our Bring it! curriculum is wide-ranging; full of rigour yet infused with creativity and a strong focus on using the outdoor environment.
Our school is at the heart of the community and its central Cornish location means we are only 8 minutes from Cardinham Woods, Lanhydrock and the Camel cycle Trail which we use regularly. Our own extensive grounds include a wild tribe area and cycle track.
Quality teaching is underpinned by targeted interventions to ensure all children continue to strive and achieve what they are capable of.
Our aim continues to be that every child will, without exception, achieve their full potential. High aspirations and an unwavering determination ensure this.
