About this Role
About the Role
As an Examination
Invigilator, you will supervise students during examinations, ensuring that
exams are conducted in accordance with Joint Council for General Qualifications
(JCQ) regulations and academy policies. You will play a vital role in
maintaining exam integrity while supporting students to perform at their best.
You will work under the
direction of the Exams Officer and Lead Invigilator and may be asked to support
across different exam sessions as required.
Key Responsibilities
·
Supervise
examination sessions in line with JCQ regulations and academy procedures
·
Prepare
examination rooms, including seating arrangements, clocks, and exam notices
·
Ensure the
security of exam papers, materials and completed scripts
·
Start,
supervise and finish examinations accurately and calmly
·
Complete
attendance registers and seating plans
·
Respond
appropriately to candidate queries regarding exam procedures
·
Maintain a
quiet, orderly exam environment
·
Support
candidates with access arrangements (e.g. readers or scribes) where required
·
Assist with
exam-related administration as requested
About You
·
A responsible,
organised and dependable individual
·
Excellent
attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures precisely
·
The confidence
to supervise groups of young people
·
A calm and
professional manner, even in pressurised situations
·
A strong
commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality
·
Availability
during exam periods (including mornings and/or afternoons)
·
Previous
experience as an exam invigilator is desirable but not essential, as training
will be provided.
