About this Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain classrooms, equipment, and teaching materials for Food Technology lessons.
  • Support teachers during practical sessions, demonstrations, and student activities.
  • Maintain and carry out basic repairs to apparatus and arrange external servicing when needed.
  • Manage stock control, order supplies, and maintain accurate records of materials and departmental expenditure.
  • Handle and store food and materials safely, in line with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
  • Provide administrative support including photocopying, displays, and photographing students work.
  • Undertake first aid training and provide first aid as required.

  • Has a passion for supporting creative, hands-on learning experiences.
  • Demonstrates excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Understands the importance of health, safety, and hygiene in a food technology environment.
  • Works well as part of a team and builds positive relationships with colleagues and pupils.
  • Is proactive, reliable, and adaptable to meet the needs of a busy department.
  • Experience in a similar technical, catering, or educational environment would be advantageous.
