About the Role
The Senior Academy Administrator will provide high‑level
administrative support to ensure the effective operation of all academy office
functions. You will lead on a range of administrative processes, support staff,
liaise with parents and stakeholders, and contribute to maintaining accurate
records and compliance with school and Trust procedures.
This role requires excellent organisational skills, a high
level of accuracy, strong communication abilities and the capacity to work
independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide
comprehensive administrative support across the academy.
- Manage
and maintain accurate computerised and manual records.
- Lead
and support a wide range of office functions including reception,
communication, data, and documentation.
- Prepare
reports, letters and professional correspondence.
- Liaise
effectively with staff, parents, external agencies and visitors.
- Follow
established procedures and ensure compliance with safeguarding, data
protection and internal policies.
- Assist
in the coordination and organisation of academy processes and events.
- Use
a variety of systems, including Microsoft Office, database applications,
finance systems and school MIS.
About You
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
Essential
- Extensive
experience working in an office environment.
- Experience
across a wide range of administrative functions.
- Strong
word‑processing and IT skills, including Microsoft Word and other digital
applications.
- Experience
using database systems.
- Ability
to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent
accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to follow procedures.
- Ability
to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Ability
to prioritise, multitask and remain focused in a busy environment.
- Commitment
to safeguarding and equal opportunities.
Desirable
- Experience
working in a school or MAT office.
- Experience
with finance systems and PSF.
- Experience
with school MIS (including Bromcom).
- Minute‑taking
experience.
- Intermediate
or higher qualification in Word processing/typing.
- Full
driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
