About the Role

The Deputy Headteacher will play a key role in the leadership and day‑to‑day management of the school, supporting the Headteacher to drive the school’s vision, strategic development and continuous improvement. The post holder will also deputise for the Headteacher as required and serve as the Designated Safeguarding Lead.

You will lead high‑quality teaching and learning, ensure the curriculum is broad, balanced and aligned to Trust principles, and create an inclusive, safe and nurturing environment where all students can thrive. A strong focus on data, assessment and raising achievement is essential.

The role includes leading and managing staff, supporting school improvement planning, ensuring effective use of resources, and upholding strong compliance, safeguarding and financial systems. You will also help build positive partnerships with parents, the community, external agencies and other schools within Anthem.
