About this Role

St John's & St Peter's CofE Primary is a welcoming school family in the heart of the Ladywood community.  We are looking for a high-quality LSA to join our school family and live out our vision to see our children flourish, our culture transformed, and our community thrive.  Our hope is that every child at St John's & St Peter's can uniquely contribute to the community and make it a place they ae proud to call home.

St John's & St Peter's is a one-form entry primary school of 210 pupils and is part of the Fioretti Trust.  It has good bus and rail connections and is located within a 10-minute walk of Birmingham City Centre.

This is a permanent post supporting pupils across our school, working closely with class teachers and our wider team to deliver high-quality learning support for every child.

Day to day, you'll be:

  • Delivering 1:1 and small-group support, both in class and in withdrawal settings
  • Building strong, consistent relationships with pupils to support their social, emotional and academic development
  • Supporting pupils with routines, transitions and behaviour management
  • Observing and feeding back on pupil progress to the class teacher and SENDCo
  • Adapting resources and approaches to meet individual needs
  • Assisting with day-to-day classroom admin, including preparing resources and maintaining pupil records
  • Supporting safe, inclusive play and, where required, intimate care routines in line with school policy

Previous experience working with children in a school setting is essential. You'll need to be reliable, adaptable, and genuinely committed to helping children thrive.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
